Perimenopause Therapist

You’ve spent most of your life being the reliable one.

You’re the one who remembers the dentist appointments, manages the calendar, answers the late-night work emails, checks in on your parents, and keeps the house running. You’ve built a career. You’ve supported family, colleagues, friends  often at the expense of your own mental health and rest.

Now, you’re in perimenopause or menopause and suddenly:

  • You wake up at 3 a.m. with your heart racing and your mind spinning.

  • You feel overstimulated by noise, clutter, or people needing you.

  • You start to cry in the car for reasons you can’t quite name.

  • You forget words or lose your train of thought mid-sentence.

  • You’re anxious in meetings you used to lead with confidence.

  • You snap at your partner, then spend the day flooded with guilt.

And it’s so confusing, because on paper, your life looks great! Stable. Successful. “Fine.”

You worked hard to create security: the career, the routines, the reputation. You’re used to being capable, high-functioning, and in control. But now, your body feels unpredictable, your patience thinner, and your nervous system completely overloaded and overwhelmed.

You might be wondering:

“What is happening to me?”
“Why can’t I handle things the way I used to?”

You’re not falling apart.
You’re going through a profound hormonal and emotional transition that affects your nervous system, your identity, and your sense of safety. And you don’t have to navigate it alone.

What You’re Really Wanting:

  • You don’t want to be perfect, you just want to feel like yourself again.

  • You want to sleep through the night without jolting awake at 3 a.m. with your heart pounding and your mind spinning.

  • You want to walk into meetings feeling clear and confident not foggy, distracted, or second-guessing every decision.

  • You want to open your inbox without feeling that tightness in your chest or the rush of dread that something’s wrong.

  • You want to stop snapping at the people you love and stop carrying the guilt that lingers afterward.

  • You want to remember why you walked into a room and not feel like you’re constantly chasing your thoughts.

  • You want to move through your day without that hum of anxiety beneath everything.

  • You want your emotions to feel steady instead of unpredictable, not calm all the time, but balanced and manageable.

  • You want to say yes to time with friends and actually enjoy it, not feel overstimulated and secretly counting down the minutes until you can leave.

  • You want to trust your body again, to feel safe in it, not betrayed by it.

  • You want to feel like yourself again; grounded, capable, calm.
    Not superhuman.
    Just steady.
At home in your own mind and body!

Why Perimenopause and Menopause Can Feel So Overwhelming

Hormonal changes during this stage can shake your foundation influencing everything from sleep and focus to emotional regulation and confidence.

For women who’ve spent years managing high levels of stress or unhealed trauma, perimenopause and menopause can amplify what’s been quietly waiting beneath the surface: anxiety, irritability, grief, and fatigue.

You might notice:

  • Panic attacks, racing thoughts, or a sense of impending doom

  • Sudden anger or irritability that feels out of character

  • Feeling detached from your body or emotionally numb in your relationships

  • Increased self-criticism, perfectionism, or pressure to “push through”

  • Fear of losing control, fear of failure, or shame about needing help

  • Difficulty focusing, remembering details, or feeling motivated

  • Resurfacing grief, old wounds, or unresolved relationship pain

This isn’t just about hormones… it’s your nervous system asking for recalibration, care, and space to heal and reset.

Why Choose an Intensive:

Traditional weekly therapy is powerful, but when your system is overwhelmed or stuck, healing can take longer to build momentum.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Intensives (EMDR) offer uninterrupted time to go deeper, faster without the stop-and-start of weekly sessions. They give your nervous system the continuity and containment it needs for real processing and integration.

Women choose intensives when they want to:

  • Get unstuck from long-term anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout

  • Heal attachment wounds or trauma that keep resurfacing

  • Address emotional exhaustion, identity loss, or relational stress

  • Create meaningful change in a shorter period of time

An intensive can create a “reset”  helping you feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded in both your body and your life.

Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.

Hourly Rate: $350

Half - Day Intensives

Perfect if you want focused, deep work on a specific theme such as fear of aging, body-image shifts, loss of identity, or coping with uncertainty.

Each Half - Day intensive includes:

  • Pre-Session Consultation (60 min): Clarify goals, identify focus areas, and ensure emotional safety.

  • IFS + EMDR Intensive (4 hrs): Dive into parts work, trauma reprocessing, and somatic therapy for nervous-system healing. Breaks incorporated regularly.

  • Integration Call (60 min): Reflect on insights, anchor new patterns, and plan next steps.

Clients often leave feeling emotionally lighter, clearer, and better able to respond rather than react to daily stress.

Multi- Day Intensives:

If you’ve experienced complex trauma, chronic anxiety, or long-term emotional exhaustion and in need of a reset, a multi-day intensive offers the immersive care and time needed for deeper transformation.

Includes:

  • Pre-Intensive Planning: Build a safe, clear roadmap for your goals and focus areas.

  • Daily 2–4 Hour Sessions: Integrate EMDR, IFS, and attachment-healing therapy in a calm, structured flow.

  • Nervous-System Grounding Practices: Somatic tools to help your body regulate and integrate new insights.

  • Post-Intensive Follow-Up: Support for continued healing and integration.

Multi-day intensives are ideal for women who need to step away from daily pressures and invest in focused, restorative healing time emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.

How IFS and EMDR Work Together

This stage of life often reawakens parts of you that learned to overfunction, caretake, or stay small to feel safe.

IFS and EMDR help you understand, reprocess, and release those old patterns so you can feel at home in yourself and your body again.

  • IFS Therapy helps you meet your inner parts - the protector, the achiever, the critic with compassion instead of judgment. You’ll reconnect with your calm, confident Self.

  • EMDR Therapy reprocesses stored stress and trauma, releasing beliefs like “I’m not enough” or “I’m losing control,” restoring balance and calm.

Together, they help rebalance your mind and body creating gentle, lasting change rooted in self-trust, not willpower.

What You Can Expect:

  • Deeper self-compassion, and feeling more connected to their body
